Tenant Announcement: Flipper Devices

Our creative community continues to grow. This Summer, we welcome the arrival of Flipper Devices.

We’re excited to reveal that Flipper Devices, the creator of Flipper Zero, will be establishing its Global Headquarters at Design District. Moving into our iconic, glass-fronted Building B1, designed by architects SelgasCano, Flipper will occupy the entire building, spanning over 10,000 sq ft.

Situated in the heart of the District, B1 will become home not only to Flipper’s team, but will also house a Flipper-run activation ‘Hackspace’ for technology enthusiasts and those looking to expand their technical skills. 

Flipper Devices raised $4.8M in just 30 days when it launched a crowdfunding campaign for Flipper Zero, the company's signature product, in 2020. Flipper has since sold over 500,000 units of the Zero, which can interact with wireless devices to enable security testing and hardware development, benefiting users in real life, not just virtually.

Flipper finds a natural home here at Design District, where we physically bring together and connect creatives, from traditional makers to cutting-edge tech pioneers, across our 150,000 sq. ft purpose-built site.

Created with the intention to inspire and upskill current and future generations, Flipper is committed to reclaiming the narrative around ‘hacking’, placing emphasis on Flipper Zero being an open-source tool, which can be freely configured and customised.

The central premise of its educational output is to encourage learning through play. Flipper enables this through its Education Program, providing hardware devices, materials and counsel to schools and universities. Building on its early success, in February 2024 Flipper also announced a collaboration with British computer business Raspberry Pi, which enables the device to be used for video gaming. 

Design District and Flipper Devices were connected through Rubix.
