About Design District

Design District houses permanent and purpose-designed creative workspaces across a cluster of 16 gloriously eclectic buildings, designed by eight pioneering architects. Just one minute from North Greenwich station, the district is a thriving home for creative businesses.

When Design District launched in 2021, it set out to keep creativity – and the creative sector – at the heart of London. Today, Design District is home to more than 170 businesses and organisations spanning every creative discipline. The District offers workspaces of all scales, to suit every need – from workshops and individual desks to brand headquarters.

Design District’s operating premise – that bringing together and supporting diverse creative enterprises drives innovation, growth, and resilience – has proven even more important against a tumultuous global climate.

About the architects

The architects prioritised natural ventilation, high ceilings, north-facing lights and pedestrian movement for a healthy and happy workplace. The brief to the architects was to create a space that they would like to work in themselves
