This event will demystify the often complex world of intellectual property law, explaining the differences between copyright and trade marks, patents and designs.
It will also cover issues of infringement, monetisation and protection, with additional guidance for anyone working as a consultant or freelancer.
The initial talk will be followed by a Q&A session open to all.
Free for members of Design District's community and £5 for non-members.
About the host
Cassine Bering graduated from the University of Liverpool and is a solicitor who practices all aspects of non-contentious and contentious intellectual property work. She is also Briffa’s music specialist. She is an artist and DJ herself with first hand industry experience. She therefore has a profound understanding of the commercial dynamics within the music industry and how this junctures with the law.
